Richard, Charlie asked me to write this review for you even though I am not entirely happt with the new Florida heat pump system I have because I lost a compressor already and I am not to happy about it. The technician who came to replace the compressor told me it is rare for these compressors to go out but it does happen from to time. It is all under warranty and I didn't have to pay anything so that is good. The unit has shown it is very efficient. My electric bill seemed too low and I had to take a second look at it to believe what I was reading. Overall I think this system will be a good system if I don't lose another compressor.

I have six vacation rentals on the gulf coast and I have three of those rental units with Florida Heat Pumps. These units do a great job of heating and cooling these units. I have air to air system systems installed in my other three units and they constantly give me problems.

stick with closed loop if you are not 100% certon that your water has no heavy deposits or is out of the ph range. I have seen systems with problems that show up after 5 years of use. the water eats out the exchanger and pipes, or the build up of solids cloggs the exchanger, or the water controls.
