American Standard Heat Pumps
American Standards Heritage line of heat pumps offers efficiencies up to 9 HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) and 17.7 SEER for air conditioning. Amercian Standard top of the line heat pump offers an Acculink Communication system which Amercian Standard claims that it will allow you to change settings remotely and allows different components to talk to each other. From a technicians perspective this is a good thing because the compressor can monitor the indoor blower and the condenser fan motor. If either are not running then the compressor knows it cannot run. All kinds of different operating features can be programmed into a system where the components have the ability to communicate data (or talk to each other). T his offers a smart system with lots of protection for the owner. This also means a skilled technician needs to be dispatched if the system does have problems. The warranties offered with American Standard are industry standard warranties and of course there are extended warranties available for an additional fee.
