The Honeywell Visionpro is a touchscreen thermostat which eliminates dials and switches. Simply touch the screen indicators to adjust temperature, change from heat to cool or turn the air handler blower fan on. You can also program is for automatic control on a time schedule which can also add efficiency to the air conditioning and heating system. It comes in a few different models so there is a selection process but this brand makes the choices easy versus some other brands and models of thermostats. With proper selection of one of those three models this thermostat can be used for almost every combination of heating and air conditioning system available.

The thermostat has an add ons that cost extra and it needs to be set up initially by an HVAC professional but it has a battery that the manufacturer claims will last ten years so once it is set it will never have to be set up again (at least for ten years) even if the power goes out. The add on for the thermostat is a thermistor or remote temperature sensor which can be used for better control of heat pumps and for use of displaying the temperature outside.
