Unfortunately this type of HVAC installation work happens way too much. For an HVAC company the margins are thin in some cases with high overhead and stiff competition. Building codes are perfect for catching these things but many times permits are not pulled and the job is finished before the local municipality or the homeowner are the wiser. It ends up costing the homeowner in the end in either discomfort or by paying to fix something that should have never been a problem if the HVAC system was installed correctly. Some people would call this guy a crybaby but he is a right crybaby. I would say the people calling him a crybaby are probably the same people who would do an installation like this which ends up making the entire HVAC industry look bad. There will always be quick buck artist and people who lack work ethics to do a proper job but with code enforcement and a little pride in the work these people can be weeded out.
