Cleaning a Lennox Condenser
Cleaning a Lennox Condenser
Make sure the big line, the suction line, is insulated.
When cleaning a condenser, or anything electrical for that matter, it is a good idea to turn the power off to the unit especially when you are using water to clean the unit. I'm not sure, but in this video I believe I observed the dryer vent venting near the big Lennox condensing unit. This is a no no as all the dust and lent exhausted from your dryer goes right into the coils of the air conditioning unit. I see this a lot and it is the cause the for higher utility bills and for condensers failing to efficiently cool the house. Relocate the dryer vent far away from the condensing unit to prevent this from happening. What do you think?
