Mold and Mildew: The Enemy from Within

HVAC Contractors Don't Seal Return Ductwork

I have a few issues about this video concerning some of the things he says about HVAC contractors but I will give him credit that it is a very informative and useful video. Issue number one with this video: many people need humidifiers in their homes and businesses not only for health reasons but also for comfort factors and the wood products in their homes. If a humidifier is properly installed, used and maintained the issues discussed in this video won't occur. The key is properly installed and maintained. There are too many hacks and do it your selfers who do a crappy job and this list of hacks includes some people who walk, talk, and look like an HVAC technician. The blame for their screw ups always comes back to the ubiquitous HVAC contractor. Even those guys make mistakes but not on the scale the hacks and DIY's make them. I always say to people when bidding a job that the lowest price is not always the best because too many people want it done in the quickest and cheapest manner possible. All I can say to these people is that you get what you pay for. It slowly but surely comes back to the HVAC contractor.

The second issue i have is basically the same issue. There are jobs that get done right and there are jobs that get done wrong. Who does these jobs? Again, the ubiquitous HVAC contractor and his merry band of misfits. That is where the blame always falls even though a good, qualified and responsible HVAC contractor never even came close to the job. This good, qualified and responsible HVAC contractor plays by the rules, he gets permits for the job, he trains his professional staff and makes sure they do quality work. All of the work done is checked and sometimes double and triple checked by a Master and/or code inspector but this is the guy who gets the blame when the blanket term HVAC contractor is used.

Good video!

The Insane!

Insane Videos

carbon monoxide, cracked heat exchangers, combustion analysis
This guy has trashed HVAC contractors in other videos and in this video he makes the absurd statement that HVAC contractors kill hundreds or thousands of people every year. I give him credit where credit is due but he crosses the line in this video and visits la la land. He definitely has an agenda to promote but he does it at the expense of others. The Best!

Best Videos

global warming science
There is so much skewed science on global warming that it boggles the mind. Does this mean that I think we should haphazardly trash the environment? Absolutely not! I work in an industry where many of my colleagues including myself are devoted to saving energy and making things more efficient. Read the reviews and watch some of the videos on this site and you will understand more. Read the Review and See the Video...

Funny!

Funny Videos

thermostats, honeywell thermostats, thermostats selection
This video is funny only in the way that this guy tries very hard to incorporate some creativity and humor and fails. He tries awful hard though and it works to make an interesting video. It doesn't take away from his opinion on the Honeywell thermostat and I agree with him. I give it a thumbs up and make fun of the obvious. He needs to buff up on his Shakespeare a little and practice before turning the video camera on but overall he does a good job with this video. Read the Review and See the Video...

Learn Something!

Learn Something Videos

global warming science
This video is from the Electrical Educational category and it is an oldie but a goodie. Some of the science needs to be updated but for those interested in learning some basics about electricity this is a good video. Even for those in the know of electricity it's a good refresher. Full of It!

Full of It Videos!

solar air conditioning
This guy lays it on thick by denigrating air conditioning and blowing up global warming. The solar air conditioning is great and a brilliant energy saving invention. To say the least, after hearing the beginning of the video I'm sure you will agree this guy is full of it! If you are going to win approval and promote a great idea you don't start by attacking the very industry you want to integrate with. Read the Review and See the Video...
